Regulatory Literacy, Nutrient Chemistry and Food Supplement Compliance in UK Practice Postgraduate Level 4 Certificate · 30 Hours

Two food supplements may appear almost identical on the label. They may list the same nutrients and similar doses, yet behave very differently in practice. For complementary health practitioners, this creates a growing challenge. Understanding physiology and nutritional theory is only part of the picture. Practitioners are increasingly expected to recognise authorised nutrient forms, interpret elemental mineral values, identify formulation differences and understand the regulatory environment in which supplements are sold. This postgraduate Level 4 programme introduces the regulatory framework governing food supplements in the United Kingdom and explores the chemistry underlying common vitamin and mineral forms. Across ten modules (30 hours total learning time), participants learn how to interpret supplement labels, understand elemental versus compound mineral values, recognise formulation practices and evaluate products more confidently within professional practice.

Supporting Cancer Patients Nutritionally

This course offers a structured, professional exploration of the nutritional and biochemical principles historically examined by the Nutritional Cancer Therapy Trust (NCTT), delivered within a fully compliant educational framework. Designed for nutrition and complementary health practitioners, students, and graduates, the course explores how nutrition supports normal physiological function, cellular resilience, and overall well-being during periods of increased biological stress. Teaching is grounded in published research and nutritional biochemistry and does not present nutrition or supplements as medical treatments or cures. Learners will examine nutrient forms, safety considerations, regulatory boundaries, and ethical communication, alongside historical context and modern professional application. The programme is educational in nature and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent disease.
